The Polish Underground

Garlinski, Jozef. "Polish Underground State." Journal      of Contemporary History. 2nd ed. Vol. 10. Sage            Publications, 1975. 219-59. Print.

The Polish Underground existed from 1939-1945 during World War II. According to Galinski, "Amongst European resistance movements, the activities of the Polish underground take a leading place because of its scope and versatility, but yet again very little has been written in English about it" (219). The resisance that grew so much in this group caused for Poland to be called the "Polish Underground State".
